I am in the throws of migrating thousands of photographs. Obviously, I don't want to have to reapply my adjustments to all, and I'd rather not have to export them all as TIFF etc. Before I commit to a lot of pain, I'd like to be certain of whether there are plans to improve Lightroom's ability to transfer Aperture adjustments.
No one who knows can say, and those who say don't know.
But it's unlikely. They might create an import tool but the adjustment parameters are very different, it would be very costly and time consuming for Adobe to do, and the results are unlikely to be exact. So I'd recommend you get exporting the adjusted images (this smart album may help) or keep Aperture on your system for whenever you need to output exact Aperture adjustments.
Thanks mate. Seems the easiest way is going to be to export them all as versions, whack them in lightroom and save the RAW files elsewhere for a rainy day if ever needed.
