The background of a design is made up of two circle shapes, and four squares. Each shape has a different tint percentage, but effectively is the same colour swatch.
There are around 10 master templates all using the same design, just the colours are different
If I select all six of the shapes, and hit a colour swatch, then the tints are still applied, but if I double click the swatch to create a new colour, and then use "preview", the tints are no longer applied, and all the shapes become a solid colour. If I do the same without preview, it keeps the tints.
Is this a bug?
This is how I would do it.
Create a Swatch at 100%
Then select that swatch and create a "Tint Swatch" - make as many tint swatches you need.
This makes all of the Tints a "child" of that Swatch.
Then when I need to change the colour - with no objects selected - edit the 100% swatch - this makes all the other tint swatches change with the parent "100%" swatch.
