Deedleete Jul 18, 2014 2:07 PM (in response to John Waller)Hi John,
Thank you for your reply. I had contacted Adobe through their chat interface and I was just told that you can't do that. Now I am scratching my head.

3. Re: Can I use CC applications on my two computers simultaneously?
John Waller Jul 18, 2014 3:18 PM (in response to Deedleete)You cannot run two of the same apps (e.g. Photoshop CC 2014) on two different computers at the same time. That's what Adobe staffers usually have in mind when responding to this question.
However you can run different apps (Premiere Pro on one and Audition on the other) on two computers at the same time. I do it daily.

Hi John,
There was some confusion about this when Creative Cloud was launched. The EULA states that you can install it on up to two computers at a time, however, you cannot use applications on those computers simultaneously. This is the case even when you are not using the same application. Sorry for the confusion.
Thanks,

ziowolvie Aug 1, 2014 5:43 AM (in response to Kevin-Monahan)So, if I installed the apps on both pc, one of them must be switched off?

Deedleete Aug 1, 2014 8:15 AM (in response to Kevin-Monahan)Hi guys,
You do realize that this makes no sense, given the workflow of premiere pro and other apps that work together with it? If on my one computer I am exporting/encoding from Premiere to Media Encoder, I can still access and work in Photoshop or Audition on the same computer. It will slow down everything, obviously… but I can do it. So what is the difference if I am working more efficiently by running the second and third programs on my 2nd computer while exporting from the first?

Hi Ziowolvie,
The computer can be on, you just can't run CC applications at the same time. I hope that makes sense.
Thanks,

Yes, we video folks do tend to use a lot of the applications in Creative Cloud. Many times, more than one at a time. It does make sense to split up the work with 2 computers if you are tying one of them up with the video applications. However, our EULA states that you can't do that unless you have purchased a separate license.

We're not "just trying to be mean." There are licensing issues (some including royalty based video codecs) that prevent that legally. Sorry about that.
Thanks,

ziowolvie Aug 26, 2014 6:52 AM (in response to Kevin-Monahan)Hi Kevin,
yes, this make sense but now, for example, I have my home PC switched off, I'm working on my laptop but if I try to open Adobe Acrobat Pro after a few seconds it close itself with no message or notification . What I have to do?
Maybe there's some option I forgot to activate?
Thanks,
Dario

Deedleete Aug 26, 2014 7:29 AM (in response to Kevin-Monahan)Hi Kevin,
Thanks for taking the time to explain the issue from Adobe's standpoint. I am having trouble understanding the licensing thing re: royalty-based video codecs usage. Again, if I am doing the encoding (Media Encoder) and editing (Premiere Pro) and touching up graphics for animation (Photoshop) on one computer, simultaneously and s l o w l y, what difference could that be regarding codecs usage from doing the same work efficiently on my 2 computers? It may be understandable from a legal standpoint, but from a user's position it just seems damn silly and kinda frustrating.
OK, I'm done ranting. I was just killing time anyway, waiting for the video to export so I can go back and work in Photoshop.
