therealdobro Jul 18, 2014 7:10 PM (in response to CptHatteras)Wow, how was that man recorded? It sounds like the worst mic in the world. What Steve suggested will work if the recording actually has any frequencies above 1000 Hz. Start with a high shelf EQ filter.

CptHatteras Jul 18, 2014 7:28 PM (in response to therealdobro)I think the camera's mic was half broken, in fact the sound you hear its actually better than the original, I had to amplify and clean the sound a lot, but I couldnt lose the "boxed" (for lack of a more precise term) sound,
its not looking good at this point because Im afraid they made more recordings with that camera, and I was hoping I could fix it a bit more,
the raw material is just garbage on every possible sense but I have to work with it since there arent any backups or alternate material

therealdobro Jul 18, 2014 8:34 PM (in response to CptHatteras)Gee, that's bad news. I've never had to work with a track that sounds that awful, but just to see what it would sound like, I might try a distortion plugin on it and see what adding harmonics could do for it. It would probably sound goofy, but with a light touch, you might make it marginally better.
