    wildlifesnapper

i have just started using the cloud photoshop version

i have just tried using the clone tool and after i selected the area with alt+click - when i try and to close over an area the screen keeps going black?

      does anyone know why? thanks

Use Photoshop menu Help>System Info.. and use its copy button and paste your info in here.  You most likely have an old display driver installed and need to install and updated one.

+1 to JJ's comment.  It's a known thing with Windows 8 and early releases of display drivers.

                Those were the important parts.

Your driver is 2 years out of date.  I suggest visiting Intel.com and seeing if you can get a current display driver release for your hardware and OS.

                  Noel,

hi thank you very much for your help with this

i went to the intel site and did their auto checker and it gave the below results, so im guessing this means i now have to contact samsung directly? - to see if they have one of their own drivers?

                  thanks emma

Checking first with the computer maker is the best idea, but they sometimes don't update older systems.

In a pinch I see that the language above from Intel says that installation of their driver MAY cause technical issues.
