I have the following situation:
All of my imported text footnote reference markers are in parenthesis (not prefix-suffix).
Ofc, I want to remove them... find and replace can find them but I don't know what to enter in "replace" field... looks like it is not as simple as it sounds. It would be logical something like this:
Find and replacing footnote reference markers is very buggy in InDesign,

The way to do it, is to use positive lookaheads and positive lookbehinds
so that you're not actually touching the footnote reference marker itself.
