ok dont quote me on this,i am still relatively new but you can just use the stage to resize the canvas to the desired width/height. For ex: canvas resize = this.stage.x / 4 or whatever and to stop the horizontal scroll bars just tell off the horizontal scroll policy
Thanks for replying.
I am having problem using the stage in the application container. When I try to access the stage, the compiler is saying that it it null.
<mx:Application xmlns:mx=" http://www.adobe.com/2006/mxml" layout="absolute" height="100%" width="100%" horizontalCenter="0" verticalCenter="0" creationComplete="main()">
private function main():void
var x = stage.x;
Can I actually call the stage in the application container?
Thanks once again.
you would need to use var x = this.stage.x
I have already tried to set the stage to resize but it does not seem to be working well. If I set the horizontal scroll policy to be off, then when i resize the browser, the components in the canvas are not resizing together as a whole canvas. Only the canvas is resizing and the components are eaten up.
