    Shipping Error

      I have a customer who just contacted me to say she has someone trying to purchase from their Business Catalyst powered E-Commerce site but cannot complete purchase because of an error when she arrives at the shipping options. She does not know what the error code was or what exactly it said so that is actually all of the information I have! I can find no record of the purchase in the dashboard (I assume because of the error the sale is not completed) and can't find anyone else who has had an error at this point.

       

      Has anyone had experience with errors during purchases and can point me towards a list of known issues that I can use as a guide here? I'm definitely at a loss with this small amount of info so any help would be appreciated!

          I think everyone is going to be at a loss with this amount of information. Can you provide a link to the site? I would ask your client if they can tell you which product he/she was trying to purchase and see if you can replicate the issue from there. Is your client tracking inventory within the platform?

            Without an error message there is really nothing you can do if you can't see the issue. I've had clients tell me their website is down or hacked but when I took a look they had a popup coming up from their virus scanner saying do you want to submit information to this site. You can't start to help them unless they tell you the error message unless of course EVERYONE is getting a very easily seen error message when you get to the area in question.
