I am using Photoshop CC 2014. I'm trying to convert a 32 bit panorama to a 16 bit so I can use the magic wand and when I go to Image/mode/16 bits what it does is convert my image to HDR and open the HDR Toning Panel ? I don't even know why???
That's because a 32 bit image is essentially an HDR image.
Use the Exposure & Gamma function and leave the sliders centered, and you'll get a visually equivalent result.
Thank you Noel, so I guess what I should wonder is what's better 16 or 32 bit.
