Where should pics edited in Ps be file for easy access?

I've just converted from a PC to the Mac iOS. I find the way that Ps/iOS files my Ps edited photos opaque. My pics are being filed in folders I can't located via the Finder. Ps/iOS (don't know which one) is filing them in folders with names like "XverofVtecd," and the like. I can only see these folders from within Ps. Why can't I see these in Finder? Can they be saved to a Finder folder? Should they be saved in a folder in Finder?

I had a chance to look at how the finder works one day. Frankly I did not like it, as you mentioned it is quite vague. Or at least to beginners that have not figured it out yet.

One thing I did notice is that it supported favorites. (at least I think it did) any way, what I usually do with the pc version is run photoshop, File>Open then see what folder is listed there. I believe I read somewhere that this dialog box on the mac is compacted. You should be able to expand it to see the rest of the dialog. Then you should be able to copy and paste that folder in finder (or perhaps drag to finder {guessing}) Then save that location as a favorite.

Or better yet make a folder just to keep photoshop files that you create then save that location as a favorite. I would assume photoshop on the mac would be able to remember the last location if you browsed to that folder.

I wish I was of more use, but atlas I don't own a mac, so I will bow out in hope I did not make anything worse.
