I just got a new MacBook Pro and transferred all my files, etc, from my iMac to it via Migration Assistant. The first time I tried to open InDesign I got a message saying I needed to download an updated Java something-or-other. I did that, but then InDesign crashed upon trying to open. I’ve tried restarting the machine, but I still can’t open it. I’m about ready to uninstall and re-install, but I don’t have a disk drive, so would need that because CS4 came on discs. Help!
I've moved your question to the InDesign forum.
Migration Assistant won't work for Adobe products.
First, use the Adobe Cleanup tool to remove what you copied:
You can download CS4 here:
If you're running Mavericks, there's no guarantee that this will work, it's not supported.
