    Constant Adobe Photoshop CS6 Crashes

    OtakuPenguin

Hello there, today I have been experiencing multiple crashes from my Adobe Photoshop CS6 Extended program.

I am running a Windows 7 64bit computer, and just get the message, "Adobe Photoshop CS6 Extended has stopped working" and no crash report is given to me or saved that I know of.

I reset my preferences, but that did not fix the issue. It is also probably not a performance issue, I have 64gb`s of ram and an Nvidia 680 gpu, plus Photoshop has worked fine for me for a long time.

Before I reset my preferences I thought it may have been a plugin I had called Coolorus, but I disabled it and that didn't help anything.

When I open Photoshop there is a recovered file from the past of what I was currently working on, I'm not sure if that info helps at all.

My version of Photoshop CS6 Extended is: 13.0.1 x64. (Not sure if that's the latest version since I don't think CS6 Extended was listed in the update list, and my update manager says there aren't any updates.)

If I may not be looking in the right places for the crash report please tell me, and if anyone has a resolution with just this info, please tell me (pretty sure it's not enough though.)

Thank you for the help! ^^

Click Start, type event into the search box, and click Event Viewer when it comes up.

Expand Windows Logs and click on the Application event log.

Scroll down and look for red Error messages corresponding to the failures you've seen.

Copy the contents of several and post the data here.  Perhaps the Faulting Module might help identify what's wrong.

Since the identified Faulting Module is Photoshop itself, the events didn't prove all that helpful in diagnosing the problem.

I'm sorry to keep asking you for more information, but another good thing to post would be your Help - System Info output.  It's long, and while the whole thing can be useful, if you can't successfully post the whole thing here, please post at least the entire first section (without your serial number), and the last part of the last section, showing the 3rd party plug-ins you have installed.

I pasted the whole thing here: http://sta.sh/027apar2fcvl

If you would rather me post it here then I can, I just don't want to spam the entire page, the errors were long enough.

My plugin was disabled but the crashes happen without the plugin so I doubt it matters?

Thank you once again for the help. c:

You're welcome, but I'm afraid I don't see any obvious reasons for the failures.

You appear to have everything (including your display driver) updated, your Photoshop version is current, you don't have any 3rd party plug-ins, and you're running it on an operating system known to be stable.

The ONLY thing I see that's remotely questionable is that you have only 89.2 GB free on your scratch volume.  Photoshop sometimes needs to allocate more than that.  I did a panorama stitch yesterday and saw Photoshop allocate nearly 200 GB of scratch files.

That's alright. :3 Thank you for the effort.

Something is wrong with my operating system now, not only does Photoshop crash, but I get an error everytime I use paint tool sai, windows explorer is also now locking up and freezing.

My computer seems to be clean of infections, so I will probably just have to run a fresh install.
