Please correct me if I misunderstand your question.
1. Select the element in question;
2. Position the Timeline Play-head where you want the to control (show/hide) the element;
3. Go to the Property Panel, at the very top change the 'Display' option to 'Off'; (See capture)
4. Move the Timeline Play-head to another position, go back to the same 'Display' option and set it to 'On';
sorry was vague, I should of asked: Is there a way to control a div with embedded html page on time line?
I have done it this way, and it seems to work well. I would be interested to hear if others have different solutions.
var website = sym.$("site_holder");
website.html("<iframe id='myFrame' width='100%' height='100%' src='http://www.starbucks.com' frameborder='0'></iframe>");
Of course, "site_holder" should be whatever you named your div. I set the html property of the div to an iframe that is 100% of the width and height of the div, and I point the src attribute to the site you want to display.
Let me know if this makes sense. Thanks!
heres another ...
// on the stage, create a rectangle and name it "webPageDisplayPort" -- this becomes your div
// put this code at the stage level
var externalUrl = "content/index.html";
sym.$("webPageDisplayPort").html("<iframe src='"+externalUrl+"' height=100% width=100%></iframe>");
Hi there, this works, but the problem then is that links inside the imported Iframe load inside the iframe. We are trying to interface a Business Catalyst blog feed in this manner. Got it to where the blog feed loads (via the iframe inserted to div as above) but then when you click, it loads the blog article inside that div instead of on another page. Here's an example
Target for new window should be set to blank . All I can provide, check links.
<a href="YOURLINKS" target="_blank">
Hi Henry, thanks for the mention, but the blog feed is a module that is exported direct from Business Catalyst. We cannot control the window method the links open up. So in this case, what we seek is another way to load html into animate other then the iframe method. Does that make sense?
