There's something wrong with your Photoshop install.
If you give complete and detailed information about your setup and the issue at hand, such as your platform (Mac or Win), exact versions of your OS, of Photoshop and of Bridge, machine specs, what troubleshooting steps you have taken so far, what error message(s) you receive, if having issues opening raw files also the exact camera make and model that generated them, etc., someone may be able to help you.

I have had good luck with what you posted before, JJ. I saved it in my notes, and copy/paste when needed. It tells the poster pretty much what they need to supply. The last person posted two screenshots as a result, and I was able to tell him what was going on. Here it is:
The more information you supply about your situation, the better equipped other community members will be to answer. Consider including the following in your question:
Adobe product and version number
Operating system and version number
The full text of any error message(s)
What you were doing when the problem occurred
Screenshots of the problem
Computer hardware, such as CPU; GPU; amount of RAM; etc.
