Getting error message only when rendering using Quicktime. "rendering error while writing to file. An output module failed. The file may be damaged or corrupt." I can render same scene using .AVI or other file types. Using AE CC 2014.
Machine is new and has 2 Xeon 10 core processors with 114 GB of RAM and 3 hard drives.
Also, using Windows 8.1. I have also done most of the normal things like re-installed Quicktime & After Effects. The only thing that works is if I go to a command prompt and type msconfig, then go to Boot tab...advanced and keep processors at 21.
I'm guessing that you are hitting a bug with Apple's H.264 QuickTime codec, which fails badly when 24 or more threads are operating.
Are you, in fact, only getting this problem when using H.264 in a QuickTime .mov container?
