Hi, so I am working with an Illustrator file (in Illustrator CC 17.0) with a large number of intricate SVG filter effects. Occasionally I accidentally move or alter these en masse, and when I do, it takes my computer 10-15 minutes to finish applying the new effects whether I actually want them or not. Of course, I could just hit the "stop" button, right? Except all this does is it stops the progress bar from growing for that particular effect-- Illustrator keeps on applying the effect behind the scenes, and takes every bit as long to do this whether I hit "stop" or no. It's kind of like "Stop" just means "Stop showing me your progress... but go ahead and keep doing what you are doing." And what I really want it to do is just STOP! Suggestions, anyone??
I guess this is a personal problem. Oh, well.
