1. Re: Does Robohelp Server store all of its data in the backend database?
RoboColum(n) Jul 28, 2014 2:39 PM (in response to jim_d)Yes. What database depends on how the RoboHelp Server context has been setup. You can have a MS Jet database (not designed for a production environment, an SQL Server DB or Oracle DB, See Recommended OS/database combinations for RoboHelp Server « Technical Communication Suite for further details.

RoboColum(n) Jul 28, 2014 3:12 PM (in response to jim_d)Just so we are clear, the RH content is published to the server. The analytics information is stored in the database that also resides on the same server.

4. Re: Does Robohelp Server store all of its data in the backend database?
jim_d Jul 29, 2014 8:36 AM (in response to RoboColum(n))We need a separate web server and database server. All the content must be in the database. It looks like RoboHelp Server might not be the right architecture.
Web Server > XSLT
> Client Web Page XSLT/XML
Database Server > XML

5. Re: Does Robohelp Server store all of its data in the backend database?
RoboColum(n) Jul 29, 2014 9:46 AM (in response to jim_d)I am afraid so. With RHS you publish the content to the webserver and the database there collects the usage data.
