I have the creative cloud versions of InDesign.
My partner has InDesign 9.1
Which of the THREE versions available through Creative Cloud are you using? My guess would be CS6 (version 8). Text engines change from version to version.
and InDesign CC 2014
CC is version 9 (and your partner should update to 9.2), CC 2014 is version 10. For best results you should both use the same version for collaboration.
Did you send here a Package and does she open the InDesign file from that package folder? Just to make sure that the same versions of the fonts are used (one Times is not another Times etc.)
I used CC but the spacing still changed when she opened it. Could it be that 9.1 is the problem and she should update to 9.2 in order to solve the problem - or was this update suggestion just an unrelated tip?
Thanks so much!
I sent no package - just the file
Could be either the update (there are lots of fixes in the updates) or the font if you are using different versions, as Frans has suggested.
We have checked the font and it is exactly the same font that we are using. [Clan Pro] Bold.
We will try updating to 9.2 but this must be done by the company's IT department and could take a few days.
Its quite frustrating.
Many thanks again for your time and help!
