    Just purchased After Effects and I can't get it to work




      I've just purchased AE (I had issues earlier with the trial version). It's not working. I've installed it (numerous times), turned off all anti-virus software. When I double click on it, it starts loading, then opens the program. After about 5-10 seconds it just exits. I've not been able to use it at all on my computer. It's a PC, Windows 7, I downloaded it from Google Chrome. I've got the Creative Cloud up and running. I can't see what's wrong. Have I missed an important stage in the download process? Please help,
