I've moved your question to the InDesign EPUB forum.
Are you using a different font for these digits (which signify year) which failed to embed? It would be difficult to say why this is happening without taking a look at the InDesign file. Could you please upload your packaged InDesign file (with fonts) to dropbox and share the link with me at email@example.com.
Are you using Arabic version of InDesign by any chance?
No, I am using trial version of CC at the moment
Anyway - finally it exported OK - when I used the fixed layout option - which is very good on iBooks, but is not opening in Adobe reader (technicaly it is opening but you can't see anything)
but on the Reflowable type this problems stays
I am still testing it on different devices - iPad, iMac, iPod etc...
This fixed layout epub is very nice for the formatting - keeps all the formatting, but there are 2 problems - it is only landscape and the hyperlinks are not working
actually it looks like PDF somehow - you can't increase/decrease the font in the iBooks app
For the portrait/landscape there is an option during the export - but I didn't quite understand it - weather you could choose only one of them, or there is an option to turns it afterwards in the app?
And the hyperlinks are going to be fixed in the next version of InDEsign?
Still I think that this fixed layout epub is a major step forward
