1. Re: New to PPro CS2 importing exporting question
Ann Bens Aug 3, 2014 12:35 PM (in response to ChristinaLeon)Testing this kind of footage in CS2 is going to be a pita.
Wmv is not suited for editing either. It also might not have been converted by Movavi because of the black bars.
1440x1080 footage has rectangular pixels, wmv has square pixels.
Upgrading to CC 2014 will be your best bet. Then you can use the original footage.
You could also consider Premiere Elements.

ChristinaLeon Aug 4, 2014 7:21 AM (in response to Ann Bens)Hi Ann,
Thanks for the reply. Right now I dont have the money to buy the software which is why I'm using the free version. If Wmv isn't suited is there another file type that may be better?
Thanks again
Christina

3. Re: New to PPro CS2 importing exporting question
Ann Bens Aug 4, 2014 8:12 AM (in response to ChristinaLeon)See if you can find a free converter that converts to so called (hdv) mpeg.
Next time you use the camera set it to 1920x1080 if possible that is to avoid the pixel aspect ratio problem.
