2. Re: Adobe Creative Cloud Console 2014 shows INSTALL instead of UPDATE next to installed CC2014 software
jacograaff Aug 6, 2014 10:00 PM (in response to John T Smith)You are now chatting with 'Fazal'
Fazal: Hello! Welcome to Adobe Customer Service.
Fazal: Hi Jaco.
jaco: hi
Fazal: Could you please elaborate the issue?
jaco: accc (adobe creative cloud console) wanted to update today - once it updated most of my CC2014 apps showed an INSTALL button instead of an UPDATE button next to them
jaco: which means I won't be able to update until I press the INSTALL button - which re-downloads and re-installs all those apps
Fazal: Just to confirm may I know if you are unable to locate the Update button next to the applications ?
jaco: I should have downloaded my Installs and installed manually as I did with CC2013/CC01 - because now I have to download 8GB+ of data
jaco: what do you mean not locate - it is not a messy room
Fazal: Since you have reach the Customer Support, I request you to please contact technical support to fix this issue.
jaco: the button said INSTALL when CC2014 became available and after I installed the softw. it showed UPDATE if an update was available or up to date with a green arrow
Fazal: In this case I request you to please contact our technical team to resolve the issue.
jaco: now they all say INSTALL again - although they work and are installed
jaco: well this was a waste of time
Fazal: I am sorry Jaco, I request you to please contact us via Phone support.
Fazal: I will provide the phone number to contact our technical team.
jaco: Thanks
Fazal: You're welcome.
Fazal: Here is the Phone support number in Australia : XXXXXXXXX
jaco: thanks Fazal
Fazal: You're welcome.
Fazal: Thank you for contacting Adobe. We are available 7 days a week, 24 hours a day. Goodbye!

3. Re: Adobe Creative Cloud Console 2014 shows INSTALL instead of UPDATE next to installed CC2014 software
jacograaff Aug 6, 2014 10:03 PM (in response to jacograaff)Well - now I know why we are paying 40% more for Adobe's software in Australia - I have never in my whole life needed to talk to technical support. I'll just press the INSTALL button tonight, luckily bandwidth is not so expensive anymore, but I lost half a day of productivity. Talking to technical support will just give me someone that will asks questions like "Just to confirm may I know if you are unable to locate the Update button next to the applications"

Bartek Kropaczewski Aug 7, 2014 3:28 AM (in response to jacograaff)You'll better get use to that. This and other problems goes like that since the beginning of Creative C***. And because is cheaper to hire support staff in India than hire software developers i'm guessing it will never be fixed. And i'm preety sure it is not the first time when you're wasting your time on phone calls and trying to fix problems by yourself.

5. Re: Adobe Creative Cloud Console 2014 shows INSTALL instead of UPDATE next to installed CC2014 software
jacograaff Aug 7, 2014 9:51 PM (in response to jacograaff)Re-installed.. Now I see the update or up to date
I love Photoshop and After Effects etc.. I have a lot of respect for the visionaries and artisans that created the software and passionately works on enhancements. It will take a lot to make me switch to alternatives because of their work.
Enough said...
