1. Re: Updating to Dreamweaver 2014, it did not overwrite previous version
sonam monga Aug 7, 2014 2:06 PM (in response to Peter Grainge)Hi Peter Grainge,
Yes, Dreamweaver CC 2014 is a different application, it does not overwrite the previous version (Dreamweaver CC).
You may go ahead and delete the previous version. It will not effect your Dreamweaver CC 2014 application.Regards,
Sonam

2. Re: Updating to Dreamweaver 2014, it did not overwrite previous version
John Waller Aug 7, 2014 2:50 PM (in response to Peter Grainge)Creative Cloud showed the 2014 version for installation. I expected it would overwrite the previous version but it did not.
That has confused many people. Must admit, I was surprised as well.
I thought the Cloud version would remain the same executable file constantly updated. I did not think that Adobe would produce a separate executable with updated major version naming - which they have done. The new name CC 2014 is confusing at best but we're stuck with it.
Jeff Tranberry (Adobe Staff) has produced a useful FAQ for Photoshop CC 2014. You can replace the word "Photoshop" with just about any other Adobe title.
