We have released the After Effects 2014.0.2 (13.0.2) update, which replaces the After Effects CC 2014.0.1 (13.0.1) update.

After Effects 2014.0.2 (13.0.2) fixes the same bug with the trial period as the previous update. It also corrects the bug with preferences caused by that update. After Effects 2014.0.2 (13.0.2) uses the correct 13.0 preferences folder, and Sync Settings works as expected.

If you installed the After Effects CC 2014.0.1 (13.0.1) update, and did not reinstall After Effects CC 2014 (13.0) as advised in this forum thread, you should still install the new update. After you do so note that, due to the preferences bug in the previous update, any changes you made to your preferences or workspaces while using After Effects 2014.0.1 (13.0.1) will be lost; your preferences will return to the state they were in the last time you used After Effects CC 2014 (13.0).

If you did not not update to After Effects CC 2014.0.1 (13.0.1) or did reinstall as advised, then you will notice no change in your preferences or workspaces after you install the new update.
