Hi, I'm new to this so please bear with me. I got a Premiere Elements disc free with a new canon camera and installed it on my windows 8.1 pc. After installation I have a shortcut for premiere elements and a shortcut for elements, I'm guessing premiere is for video and elements is for photo. The disc came with a serial no. which worked with premiere but when I opened elements it asked for a serial no. but when I tried the same serial no. it says this serial no. is not valid for Adobe photoshop elements. Am I doing something wrong, am I missing a serial no., do I have to pay to use the elements (photo editing) side and if so I don't understand why it loaded both programs on from one disc as I thought it was all one big program split into video and photo.
Premiere Elements and Photoshop Elements are separate programs with different serial numbers. Usually adobe throws in the trial for the other one on the disc. Are you sure you got PSE as well as PRE? A PSE serial number starts with 1057.
