JJMack Aug 11, 2014 8:55 AM (in response to Zocolco)What OS are you using. First as an administrator use your system disk check program make sure you disk is in good shape. Free up as much space as you can on you boot disk use your system disk clean up program to delete temp file. Make sure there is lots of free disk space. Then login as the non administrator user start Photoshop and press and hold Ctrl|CMD+Atl|Option+Shift as soon as you start Photoshop. If done in time Photoshop should prompt you asking if you want your preferences deleted. Reply Yes, Photoshop should then start up and work..

Zocolco Aug 15, 2014 3:11 PM (in response to JJMack)Hello, firstly I apologise for the delay in replying to your helpful post's. I’am traveling at the moment SE Asia, and internet connection not always possible, when I do get the time to reply.
For your information, I have tried many times the Shift/Ctrl/Alt option, however this fails to work for me.I receive the Prompt to delete PS settings, however, PS quits within a second or two just after I've agreed to delete settings file on launch of app. I’m currently running OS X Version 10.9.4.
I have chatted with Adobe first, after they reviewed the crash report. They have said that The settings of my user account in Mac are corrupted, cause is Exception Type: EXC_BAD_ACCESS (SIGSEGV)Exception Codes: KERN_INVALID_ADDRESS at 0x0000000000000080VM and that I should speak with Apple. Adobe also sent this link http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/global/troubleshoot-unexpected-behavior-user-account.ht ml
I then spoke with Apple, they reviewed the same crash log however, found no clear evidence to support Adobe’s claim.
Apple, suggested I set up another user account and test that one for the problem. I will let you know how I get on. It might just be the easiest option for me….the hidden Libraries, etc..
Just to note, I did follow your useful link “ glad" Resetting Photoshop preferences-Alien Skin Software for a more targeted approach. However, the problem still exists. I’ have since set up a other user account and it appears to be working fine…..its just such a hassle, switching between accounts…I was hoping to solve the issue and not work around it. Anyway, thank you for your help and time on this issue….it was much appreciated.
Kind regards, Pinchermartin@Zenfolio.

We need to see the full, detailed crash report to know why you crashed.
But MacOS gets really, really unstable when the boot volume fills up.
BTW - Apple's first tier support and "geniuses" have no idea how to read a crash report.
Adobe's first tier support doesn't know how either, but they're supposed to forward the requests to more senior support folks who can read them (and then call me when they can't figure it out :-).

Zocolco Aug 16, 2014 11:42 AM (in response to Chris Cox)P.s trying to send this report is a nightmare, I kept getting, Error Message," Your content could not be saved due to an error. You may have been logged out. If this problem persists please contact your system administrator. Click here to refresh this page. "
Even though I freshly sign in, paste content, & then add reply......... is the "Crash Log" Report to Long.....or My Internet connection...failing me again..testing on the possibilities of sending this message.

Post the log somewhere else and post a link to it here.
(and I'm not sure why some people can post crash logs and others can't - is it a browser issue?)

I then switched to Firefox, to see if it was a browser issue, but I received the same warning. You need the patients of a Saint, to pursue this enigma. It's wrecking my head. Where would you suggest I post the crash log? Kind regards

Chris CoxAug 17, 2014 12:55 PM (in response to Zocolco)
As you can already read in your crash report - the crash has little to do with Photoshop, and everything to do with your Nik/Google SelectiveTool plugin.
Disable that plugin and contact Nik/Google for an update that fixes the bugs in that plugin.

Zocolco Aug 24, 2014 5:52 AM (in response to Chris Cox)Hi Chris,
Thank You for your help. I did as you advised, I uninstalled Nik/Google collection. I tried to open CC 2014 and it opened first time on the user account that I was having difficulties with. I have since reinstalled latest version of the Nik software and everything appears to be running as normal. Cheer's to your good health!
