I'm very new to After Effects ( I''ve started one day ago ) and I've followed this tutorial (After Effects Tutorial - Basic Typography & Motion Graphics - YouTube) to make a lyric video.
However, when I try to slide my text over the 3D background thingy ( as shown at 20:16), it just disappears behind it instead of standing before it.
All help would be dearly appreciated
In order for us to tell exactly what's going on we would need to see the properties of the text layer and the background or rather floor layer. I'm guessing that your Z position is just off.
2d layers break AE's rendering order. Move the audio track. If that's not the problem, make sure that your layer's are in the right spaces in 3d.
Thank you so much! I was working with local axis mode. Switching to world axis mode did the trick!
