Updating a Muse website using Business Catalyst

I'm not sure if this question has been asked before - I couldn't see it - so if it has, then please direct me to the correct thread.

Here's what I need clarification on.

If I create an adaptive site using Muse, so that I have different layouts for desktop, tablet, and phone, and then host it using Adobe Business Catalyst, how do I structure the site so that changes to content cascade from one layout to another?

I don't want clients to make text/image changes to, say the desktop layout using the excellent In-Browser editing feature, but then find that the content for the tablet and phone layouts haven't changed.

Am I missing a trick? Surely there is an edit once feature somewhere, isn't there?

As always, advice and thoughts on how to best achieve this would be most welcome.

Hi Derek,

There is no out of the box solution for this. You need to edit each layout individually.

Thanks for the swift response.
That's a real shame
I hope the Muse team revisit this aspect of their app at some point.
A "placeholder" metaphor, which automatically populates the tablet and phone layouts with content from the main desktop one, would be a welcome feature.

As a hack of sorts you can utilize content holders out of BC if you have elements that update frequently. We've used content holders for a variety of areas before. Simply drop the specific content holder tag into Muse instead of the actual copy.

Thank-you Adobe Muse team for providing the Content panel
At first glance it appears to answer the dilemma of my original question.
However, I'm playing around with this feature and found that:

1) Content text blocks don't seem to be able to contain multiple Paragraph styles i.e. it's not possible to have a Heading and Paragraph style in one block, and
2) Content text blocks don't seem to be able to support bulleted or numerical lists.

Can anyone within the Muse team confirm the above please, or point me in the direction of where I can find info on how to resolve these issues.
