But the easiest way to open a pdf file is to use buddyAPI

Did you receive the error message when you where installing the xtra, when
starting Director, or when using a function from the xtra?
What was the error?

Greetings from Greece
If you are using BuddyAPI like in my example, then it will open any file
of any type that the computer has a program associated with.
If the computer playing your project has a program that can open .jpg
files, then it will open .jpg files in that program. If your computer
is set to open .jpg files in Internet Explorer and mine is set to open
them in Photoshop, then when I play the same program on my computer, it
will open in Photoshop, but yours will open in IE. It is important to
note that it is computer specific. If for some reason, someone has no
program associated with .jpg, then nothing will open.
You can use 2 functions FREE with BuddyAPI, if you try to use more than that you will get a message.... Highly recommended purchasing this Xtra...
