Can you see your synced images at lightroom.adobe.com? Maybe this will help you tracing the problem.
Unfortunately not. I have tried deleting all data and attempting to re-sync but without success. I have also been monitoring my internet connection and can see no data going over the IP connection to adobe.
I think the problem is on the Adobe server end of the connection - I read other posts on the forum that had the same issue. Perhaps an Adobe employee can check out my account settings and reset?

Could you please send me a LR Desktop diagnostig log - best as a private message with a downloadable dropbox link.
You can trigger the log via LR Desktop preferences -> Lightroom Mobile and when you hold down the alt key you will notice a generate diagnostic log button.
