1. Ask Amazon
5. CPU is OK if overclocked. GPU is possibly a waste of money. EVO is a bad choice. Get several more SSD's or disks.
6. Get at least 32 but better 64 GB memory.
i read a lot of post in different forums, still i am confused, to many choice is there
Can you give me good collection like good cpu and gpu ..etc as your experiences
if you want to buy a new pc give me your option
as i understand from the graph comparing to GeForce cards that perform equal or better than the Quadro car vat
GTX 780 better than k6000
GTX 760 better than k5000
that is mean GTX 780 better than k5000 and very cheap only 500$ in amazon
but k5000 cost 1600$
so i can take GTX 780 or still i can buy better than GTX 780 and prcie lower than 1000$
For EPIC material, you only want to consider video cards with 4+ GB of VRAM.
BUT, you need a number of extra disks configured in a raid configuration to get the required transfer speed. A single disk for storage will not be sufficient. You also want 64 GB of RAM for AE.
yes i plan to buy 64 GB 1600mhz, Kingston HyperX Blu 8GB
and for HDD i select this WD Black 4 TB Desktop Hard Drive: 3.5 Inch, 7200 RPM, SATA III, 64 MB Cache, 5 Year Warranty - WD4001FAEX
i don't know how to use raid configuration and what the benefit
and can you advise me what to buy K5000 or GTX titan black
The Titan Black is way overkill. A 4 GB GTX 760 would be more than enough with that disk configuration. Use the savings on the video card for extra disks.
See Tweakers Page - To Raid or not to Raid for info on raids.
GTX 760 is not support by Adobe premiere cc
It works great.
but i can't active CUDA and a lot of permiere effects is not supported so the time line have to render, so again i will have drop in fram without render
Oh, you can. Any CUDA capable card with 1+ GB VRAM runs in hardware MPE mode if you want. You may be lucky that this specific model, the 760 is not 'supported', because it will save you endless and fruitless calls to Adobe Support, and you get great answers to your questions here from other users that work far better than Adobe Support.
With CC and CC 2014 all you need to do is delete in Premiere the file "cuda_supported_cards.txt" or you can simply add the name of your card to that text file.
If you are not in a hurry for this computer and can wait a month or so there is a whole new generation of CPU's and associated motherboards with better performance coming from Intel. It is the Haswell-E CPU series with the the new X99 motherboards, faster DDR4 RAM and much better I/O capability.
As Bill has suggested.....WAIT !!!!! The Haswell E CPU coming soon this autumn will have MAJOR improvements over the current CPUs, memory, and motherboards. Faster, quad channel memory.....6 or 8 core versions.....new X99 chipset delivering 10 onboard SATA III ports, and a full 40 lanes of PCI generation 3 for additional cards. This new equipment combined with recent improvements in Adobe PPro CCloud will prepare you for the future nicely !
The latest rumor mill now has the Haswell-E and x99 motherboards to be announced and available in 14 days, on August 29th.
i think the new generation Haswell-E CPU will be expensive, i will wait and see what the price of the Haswell-E, thanks for all
Yes, the 8-core (i7-5960X) will be probably over $1000. The middle chip (i7-5930K) with just 6-cores probably will be in the $500 to $700 range would have to be my choice. Below is an exciting quote from one of the many sources also repeating the August 29th date. The low-end 6-core chip apparently is handicapped (if the rumors turn out to be correct) and will have fewer PCIe lanes
"For those reading this article, I have seen the x99 classic boards for Asus and I was mind-blown. You’ll know what I mean once they have an official go-ahead signal to let the rest of the world see their board."
