Resizing a symbol

Hi,

Is there any way to resize a symbol?

Basically I have a symbol that used to have 4 images in it and not it has 3. The image I got rid of was the largest one and the symbol sized to that.

Now that I've removed it I need to resize the symbol because its getting in the way of other symbols that need to be clicked.

When I resize the symbol it squashes the images inside it.

Can anyone help with this issue?

Hi,

To re-size the symbol do following steps:
1. Select the symbol
2. Get inside the symbol time line
3. Click outside of symbol element.
4. In property panel you will get the stage width and height of selected symbol along with other properties.
5. change the width and height to resize the symbol.

I've just tried that not but the problem with doing that is, it resizes it from the top left corner and I will need to resize it and be able to move it.

Thanks for that tutorial, it didn't help with this issue but I understand symbols a little better now

I've decide to solve the issue using a clip instead or resizing it since I only needed to get rid of the top bit.
