    New machine: 4790K with 780ti vs 4930K with 770 4gb

      Hi,

I am looking to purchase a new machine and have specc'd out a 4790K with 780Ti, and a 4930K with 770 EVGA 4GB card.   Both machines are specc'd identically: Windows 7 professional, 32GB of 2133Mhz G.Skill ripjaw ram, SSD for OS and programs, SSD for scratch drive, and 7200rpm 2TB drive for media (will upgrade to USB 3.0 external raid controller later).  I shoot Canon 1080p footage and do most of my grading in Speedgrade.  I do alot of running and gunning so a moderate amount of stabilizing also happens.  I typically export MPEG2 1080p or 720p and display on Vimeo. I would like to export H264 but I can't seem to work around the apparent gamma shifting that happens when playing back over the web (everything appears about 1 stop darker but that's a second question!)

So my question is, which system makes more sense? Are those graphics cards overkill for these processors? What would you recommend in the alternative?

ps> currently have a i7 4770K with a GTX 670 4gb, all other specs match those above.  I know I could get more out of my current system but we need another editing machine for our workflow so please don't recommend upgrading it. I am just asking because I am hoping to see a performance boost, particularly in GPU accelerated playback and render times over the current system.

I look forward to your suggestions
