What version of Premiere Elements are you using and on what computer operating system is it running?
What are the properties of the source media that you are importing into the project - including file extension?
What are you or the project setting as the project preset to match the properties of the source media?
(See Edit Menu/Project Settings/General and readings for Editing Mode, Timebase, Frame Size, and Pixel Aspect Ratio even if
they appear to be grayed out.)
What are your export settings under the Windows Media export?
What is your player for the export?
Answers will be in the details. Looking forward to details to help us help you.
Hi ATR, thanks for getting back to me. Here is all the info you required:
It's Premiere Elements 10 on a Windows 7 PC.
The source media is a mix of WMV, MP3 audio and JPGs.
The project settings are:
Editing Mode: DSLR
Timebase: 25.00 frames/second
Frame size: 1920 x 1080
Pixel Aspect Ratio: Square Pixels (1.0)
The export settings are:
Presets: HD 720p 25
File type: Windows media
Frame size: 1280 x 720
Audio settings: 440 kbps, 96kHz, 2 channel 24 bit VBR (I have tried it with a number of different variations on this and still had no luck)
I’ve tried opening with Windows media player as well as VLC. Neither are having it.
Thanks for the reply.
1. The source media is a mix of WMV, MP3 audio and JPGs.
If you have not already...
a. do the export with just the wmv (assumed with linked audio of its own)
b. do the export with just the audio
c. do the export of just the audio and the JPGs.
2. Under the Advanced Button of the Presets selected, make sure that the Export Settings have a check mark next
to "Export Audio" as well as "Export Video".
