I need to update some content on 3 pages. Not a huge overhaul, but I did put in a line on one of the pages that an update would be available in August 2014. The app released in February of this year.

If I were to upload as a multi folio, would I lose my current subscribers? If I do, is there a way I can send a push notification to them to download the new app?

You wouldn't lose your current subscribers when you update from a single-folio app to a multi-folio app as long as you use the same mobileprovision files when re-building the app and submit it as an update in iTunes Connect. You cannot send push notifications for single-folio apps. However, your users will be notified in App Store that a new version of the app is available.
Uploading as a multi-folio app requires a Professional or Enterprise DPS account. If you discontinue your DPS subscription, your users will no longer be able to download content in your app.

We have DPS Enterprise now. But we didn't at the time that I built the app. Hence why this particular app is a Single Edition.
Just so I'm clear.. I need to update my current app and upload using the same mobile provision to a multi-folio. By doing so, I should be able to send push notifications to prompt the current users to re-download. Correct?

If you have DPS enterprise now then just make a new single edition app with your changes and replace the existing one in the store. As long as you use the same .mobileprovision file you’ll be fine. Or you can switch to a multi-folio, using the same .mobileprovision.
