It is always important to know what version of Premiere Elements you are using and on what computer operating system it is running? So, please let us know that information.
For now I will assume Premiere Elements 12 on Windows 7, 8, or 8.1 64 bit. Details can be customized once your details are confirmed by you.
The next critical information is what are you recording and how are you going about importing it into Premiere Elements 12?
You camera is said to record to a memory card -
(a) are you transferring the files from the memory card to the computer hard drive and then importing them into
Premiere Elements via its Add Media/Files and Folder/Project Assets
(b) are you inserting the memory card into a computer SD slot which then acts as a drive and you use Premiere Elements Add Media/Videos from Flip or Cameras/Video Importer/?
Just as critical what are you importing -
AVCHD 1080p60 - what is the file extension, mts or something else?
Standard Definition which is described as 960 x 540
Let us start here and then decide the troubleshooting strategy.
