    cannot install flash player

Windows 7.  Have tried both version 13 and the latest download.  No install and the "test" box does NOT an error- just stays blank.

What means "No install"; do you get any error messages?

No error messages- it acts like the install completed OK, but Flash is not installed.

So you don't see it in your Programs & Features?

Can you post the contents of the FlashInstall.log file in C:\Windows\system32\Macromed\Flash

Also, what browser(s) do you use?

Programs installed shows "Adobe Flash Player 14 Plugin".  Primary browser is Firefox 31, also use IE10.

                  Hello,

You have installed the Flash Player version for non-IE browsers.  If you visit http://helpx.adobe.com/flashplayer with Firefox it should detect Flash player is installed (the log file doesn't indicate errors during installation).

There is a different version of Flash Player for Internet Explorer.  Launch IE and navigate to http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer.  The page will detect the OS and browser and offer the correct Flash Player version for IE.  Download and proceed with installation.

                    Hi,

Well it appears the problem is fixed. I have a program which requires flash to run and it gives me the message "This content requires Flash and a link to get Flash".  So I followed the link to download and install flash.  The first time I tried this, nothing happened.  But just tried it again and now everything is OK.  Thanks for your time.

                    Pete
