how to add a breadcrumb in Framemaker?

I was trying to add a complete breadcrumbs path (with links) in Framemaker. The breadcrumb path would be like: <Project Title> > <Chapter Title> > Heading 1.  But, instead of putting it in Master page, I tried putting it in Body page (in a separate text frame).

1. On the Body page, place a text frame on top of the page.
2. Choose Special > Variable.
3. Select a user-defined variable in the Variables scroll list. (I edited the Definition as <$paratext[Title]>
4. The breadcrumb is showing properly (without the link)

Now I imported the .mif to RH. But it's not showing up in RoboHelp output. Do you know how to add a breadcrumb in Framemaker?
