You need to edit the wrapping manually. And if I recall, the object needs to be filled, or another frame placed to keep the text from wrapping on the other side. Begin by selecting the frame of the object and clicking:
Which is likely too tight, so you can use the Direct Selection tool (white pointer) and adjust the curve ID creates.
Wrap to object shape rather than bounding box wold probably be a good start, too.
Keep in mind that wrapping might tend to look odd because the entire leading slug is considered in figuring the wrap.
Yep, that's what the top screen shot shows (wrap around object shape) but I should have actually written that as well.
And one can set the distance from the shape as well:
1. A simple graphic line drawn where text wrap is done by shape with an offset of 9 millimeters:
2. Added a text frame to see the effect. Oops. Missed something on the bottom left!
3. Correct the bottom left by editing the shape with the direct selection tool (shift click of some anchor points):
