Designers and artists often find it helpful to build a combination of colors into a palette which they can then use in any of a wide number of Graphic Arts programs (such as those which comprise Adobe's Creative Suites).

Palettes created in Kuler can be downloaded to your desktop as an .ase file (meaning an Adobe Swatch Exchange file).

That Swatch Exchange file, and its swatches, can then be opened and used in Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and a number of other programs so that colors can be synchronized throughout all the components of a multi-facetted design project..

            Hi there,
To add to Ann's description, the kuler team is really enjoying the various ways people are using kuler. Besides the print/web design uses, we've heard about people using it for interior decorating, planning their wedding colors, designing dashboards, all sorts of crafts such as knitting, and just exploring colors. See kuler stories.
How did you hear about kuler?
