I back up all of my Lightroom files (and of course the original images) to Google Drive.
As and when I add new images to Google Drive which 'extra' files do I need to add from the Lightroom catalogue?
For instance, I know I'd have to over-right the .lcat file but the 'Master Catalogue-5 Previews.lrdata' catalogue has an enormous amount of files within; would I have to replace all of this folder every time I update the files on Google Drive?
Any help/advice would be very welcome...
You do need to make regular backups of the catalog file (*.LRCAT), I would first use Lightoom's built in backup mechanism, making sure you check the box that says "Check Integrity". Then I would send those backups up to Google Drive.
The previews do not have to be backed up.
