Or is there a way I can select certain sections in the InDesign document and mark them as areas that will be open to editing in the future? As I said, total newbie to InCopy!

My recommendation is to spend some quality time watching Anne-Marie
Concepcion's excellent InCopy training on lynda.com. If you don't have a
