What computer operating system is your Premiere Elements 12 running on? The program requires running from a User Account with Administrative Privileges as well as the installation of QuickTime which also has this Administrator requirement.
McAfee has been known to conflict with Premiere Elements (many versions).
I would encourage you first to contact McAfee for guidance in writing permissions and other relating to your specific McAfee activities (antivirus and firewall) in your corporate network.
Have you looked into alternative corporate network security?
Yes, it is for sure a conflict with McAfee and I guess hopes were that I may be able to get more information in regards to what the application may be trying to do that McAfee does not like. I worked with someone in our security group and he tried to help me trap the issue in McAfee but so far I have not been able to capture anyting of use. We are a fairly large company and changing what we use for network security....well, lets just say I have no bearing on these decisions.
I will ask that they reach out to McAfee as well - was hopeful your company may have reached out and worked with McAfee on this issue before, thanks.
I am not sure if you aware but we are not Adobe here at the Adobe Premiere Elements Forum. Rather user to user.
If you want Adobe, then you will need to contact it through its Adobe Chat.
I have setup the link for
Adobe ID and Sign In
Adobe ID, Sign In, Account Help
Chat Panel (it currently has an active Panel)
If the link does not hold its set, then you will need to navigate the link to Chat Panel using the above titles as guides.
Because of the complexity of your issue, I strongly encourage you to contact McAfee.
I am in no way affiliated with McAfee or Adobe.
understood, thank you
