Will Ink and Slide work at all with a 3rd Generation iPad

I have a 3rd Gen iPad and I am not in a huge hurry to upgrade. I realize Adobe says Ink and Slide needs a 4th gen iPad. But is it usable at all on earlier models?

You will not be able to connect Ink via Bluetooth on the iPad 3.
