gkaiseril Aug 23, 2014 3:32 PM (in response to Chromo)Yes it is possible. How difficult depends upon the math problem. D.P. Story for years has provided examples of calculus quizzes and other math quizzes, AcroTEx, AcroTeX eDucational System Tools

try67 Aug 24, 2014 1:59 PM (in response to Chromo)Do you mean that they enter both the problem and the solution, and it should say if the result is correct? If so, it's possible to some extent.
If you mean that they just enter the solution to a predefined problem and it should say if that's the correct result or not, then yes, that's certainly possible.

3. Re: Calculated field?
Chromo Aug 24, 2014 2:20 PM (in response to try67)Yes I would display a predefined problem and one has to type in the correct answer.

4. Re: Re: Calculated field?
try67 Aug 24, 2014 2:24 PM (in response to Chromo)Ah, that's real easy. Let's say the solution field is called Solution and the result field is called Result, and that the right solution is "7".
So you enter this as the Result field's custom calculation script:
var solution = this.getField("Solution").valueAsString; if (solution) { if (solution=="7") { event.value = "CORRECT"; } else event.value = "WRONG"; } else event.value = "";
