In Photoshop CS6 -- My goal is to create an Image Stack. I have read the Photoshop Help: Image Stacks instructions but I am stymied when trying to use two scripts for image stacking. The first script I tried is File > Scripts > Load Files into Stack. However, after making my layers into a Smart Object, the next step is to Choose Layer > Smart Objects > Stack Mode but Stack Mode is grayed out. Why?
The second script I wanted to try is Statistics but that script does not appear on the File > Scripts drop-down menu. Where can I find it, and where do I need to place it on my Mac (OS 10.9.4) so Photoshop can find it and list it in the menu?
If you have the perpetual version of CS6 only the extended version of CS6 has Statistics and Stack mode blending Adobe grays out the Stack mode blending option in the standard version rather then removing the option its a bug Adobe acknowledge in this forum. Its sounds like you had Mac CS6 standard perpetual version 13.0.6
I indeed use Pshop 13.0.6 perpetual standard version. Thanks!
