Is it possible to use the ecommerce as a product catalog, without enabling purchases?

I have a client who wants a searchable online catalog, with product data imported from their inventory system.  Problem is, they don't want to sell online, they want interested parties to contact a sales rep.  Is there a way to use the module but disable the actual Buy button?
