We created a page template called Contest - landing today and whenever we make an update to it via the BC backend, we get a workflow email with no content.
Does anyone know why we might be receiving these?

Not much to go on there.
But at a guess... A question - Are you editing these things in the admin using the editor? If so, bad idea. It is XHTML complient and will try to fix things as well. So if your HTML is incorect, or using HTML5 things will mess up.
But to have a form to email form auto submit though is a different story. Without you providing a link people like myself can only guess at one of many possible issues.
