I created a 60+ interactive document loaded with images and links. I exported the file to create an interactive PDF. Afterwards, I could not reopen the InDesign file. This has happened once before and I had to recreate the entire document. Of course I didn't learn from the first time around and did not save a copy before exporting. But upon exporting the second time, I realize that the problem stemmed from that action (exporting to PDF). Is there any way to recover the InDesign file so that I do not have to recreate the file a second time? My InDesign has the latest updates, etc.
What happens when you try to reopen the file?
I get an error message "Cannot open "filename.indd".
BTW...I'm on Windows 8...if that makes any difference.
Anything more to the error message?
