Which operating system are you running on?
Which version of Photoshop Elements are you using?
Are you talking about "Exporting as new files" in the organizer?
When you say "delete previously edited pictures from the file" do you mean remove them from the catalog or remove them from the list of recently edited files from the File menu in the editor?
I am using Windows 8 on my Dell XPS computer. I am referring to Photoshop Elements 12 (Costco Special edition). I believe I tried to export as a new file from the organizer. It never asked me where I wanted the picture to go- so I do not know where it might have gone….I then decided to eliminate the picture but it was still in the “recently edited” section of the editor section, and I could not remove it. – this whole problem occurred because Photoshop would not allow me to Email the picture (on Adobe Email) It said it needed to send me an Email with a code to confirm that y Email could receive this picture before it would send the picture. But it NEVER sent the Email or the code so I could not Email it. That is why I tried to export the picture.
When you use Export as new files, you should see a dialog box with this on the right side
You should be able to browse to where you want to export to.
Removing items from the most recently edited list can be done by going to Edit -> Preferences -> General and clicking Reset Preferences on next launch - then closing the editor and opening it again. This will clear the whole list, if you just want to remove one, it will drop off the bottom as you open more files.
The email problem can be down to your ISP. I assume that you have set up your correct email address in Edit -> Preferences -> Sharing. The verification email seems to get through better if you have a web account like an outlook.com/hotmail or gmail account.
